KneadZen™ draws on shiatsu, the Japanese tradition of slow, deliberate finger pressure applied one area at a time. What makes shiatsu feel different from machine massage is patience — circles that take their time. We chose a cushion that keeps that unhurried rhythm and hides it inside an everyday object: a seat cover that happens to know what it is doing.

Materials & details

The cushion is a fabric-covered, full-length chair pad with rotating node mechanisms behind the surface at neck, shoulder and back level, and heating elements in the kneading zones. It runs on mains power with a regional plug (US, EU, UK or AU, per your selection).

How to use

Set the cushion on an upright chair, sit back lightly, and let the nodes travel — you steer where they work by how you sit. Fifteen minutes is a natural session length: an afternoon desk break, or the first sit-down of the evening. Start without heat and with gentler intensity, then adjust. Keep a layer of clothing between your skin and the cushion when the warmth is on, and switch it off if it ever feels too warm. Not intended for use over broken or irritated skin.

Care & maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Spot-clean the fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap, and let it dry fully before the next session. Do not machine-wash, soak or iron the cushion. Store it flat or draped over its chair, away from direct sunlight.

When do people actually use it?

Will it fit my chair?

It is made to drape over most upright chairs — office chairs, dining chairs, armchairs with a reasonably straight back. If it does not suit your chair, returns are easy within 30 days.

How firm is the kneading?

Firmer than a vibration pad — these are rotating nodes, and shiatsu-style kneading has real presence. Intensity is adjustable, and you can also soften it simply by leaning back a little less.

Do I have to use the heat?

No — warmth is a separate, optional function. Kneading alone is lovely in warm weather; kneading with warmth is the winter setting.
